The big screen is about to get bigger. While only 325
of the nation's 39,000 theaters feature IMAX screens that show commercial
films, the oversized format will see some oversized movies this year. USA TODAY looks
at the spring/summer lineup (dates are subject to change):
'The Hunger Games' (Friday)
The adaptation of Suzanne Collins' monster
series of novels stars Jennifer Lawrence as a contestant
in a futuristic world where children battle to the death on live television.
'Wrath of the Titans' (March 30)
Sam Worthington returns as Perseus in this sequel to
2010's Clash of the Titans,
a film savaged by critics but rewarded with $163 million at the box office.
'Titanic' (3-D) (April 4)
The former all-time box office champion gets a 15-year
makeover in 3-D and IMAX conversions.
'The Avengers' (May 4)
The Marvel Comics superhero all-star team —Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, Captain America— gather for
the much-anticipated kickoff to Hollywood's
summer season.
'Men in Black III' (May 25)
Will Smith plays Agent J and goes back into MIB's early
years to stop an alien from assassinating pal Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) and
altering history.
'Prometheus' (June 8)
Ridley Scott (Alien) returns to his intergalactic
toy chest for this tale of a space crew looking for clues to mankind's
beginning and discovering its possible end.

The webslinger gets a reboot after just five years, with Andrew Garfield playing a
teen version.
'The Dark Knight Rises' (July 20)
